if he's under 2 yes. my mom had a kid just in the past year and his hair was BLEACH blonde but now it's brownerr. and i've seen kids have red hair gone to blonde....or your child's hair become strawberry blonde. but no red hair doesn't always come from the parents.

Hair color changes when they are infants to toddlers. My son had red hair when he was born, I have brown my husband is blonde, my son now 11 has blonde hair. His hair turned blonde by 1, when the baby hair falls out the blonde came in.If not then oh well, no big deal. He's healthy right.

If it's bright orangey red, then no. I've seen it skip generations. I used to nanny for a couple with a red headed child and one parent was blonde and the other was a brunette. How old is he? It will probably turn brown later, maybe with a reddish hue. My husband had the blondest, blonde hair as a child and now he has dark brown hair.

Not necessarily. He obviously got the red hair from somewhere, so it may stay that color. My husband has had very curly hair since birth, and nobody else in the family has it. And yes, his father is his real father; other than the hair, they look very much alike! Genetic recombination isn't as simple as getting whatever your parents have. Obviously, either you or your husband carries a gene for red hair, even if your hair is not red. Otherwise, you would not have a redheaded baby. The gene could have come from a great - grandparent or a great - great - grandparent. Either way, he has it, and so his hair won't necessarily change color. He sounds like a real cutie!

both me and my husband have brown hair and we have 2 children with blonde hair and 2 children with red hair! my youngest is 18 months and has red hair . red hair usually doesnt change in colour. usually brown and blonde will make red hair so that is where his hair colour has proberly come from. my hair is only blonde from a bottle so who knows where 2 of my kids hair colour has come from. and welcome to the red hair club!
