It doesn't. Anyone whose opinion matters, anyone worth worrying or caring about won't think twice about the colour of your hair. It's the person that the hair belongs to that counts.

My boyfriend is a red head and I love him to bits but neither because of, nor in spite of his hair. I just love him to bits for who he is.

I think anyone who does care about your ginger hair is too shallow to bother worrying about. People that matter won't care what you look like.
